Project
Together with Humanity in Action Germany, we implement the “Break the Vicious Circle!” project.
It aims to deepen the knowledge of high school students about National Socialism, World War II, and the Holocaust, as well as provoke a reflection on the historical conditions that led to the Shoah, based on the concept of multiple stages leading to genocide by Dr. Gregory Stanton.
As part of the project, we created an educational mobile application that presents 10 stages of genocide through the biographies of 11 people, whose lives were marked by the experience of World War II.
The structure of the 10 Stages app is based on Dr. Gregory Stanton’s theory of the 10 Stages of Genocide. “The Ten Stages of Genocide” was conceptualized in 1987, and written and published in 1996 and 2012 by Dr. Gregory Stanton and can be found on the website https://www.genocidewatch.com/tenstages
